On Wednesday, March 25, nineteen Stacey High School students traveled to Falls City High School to participate in the UIL Academics District Meet and did phenomenally!

In Computer Science, Alex placed 1st, Charles won 2nd, and Eliana placed 4th. They also won 1st place team!
In Current Issues and Events, Mason placed 1st.
In Editorial Writing, Addison placed 3rd and Kelcy placed 5th.
In Feature Writing, Kelcy placed 5th.
In Headline Writing, Kelcy placed 2nd.
In Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Gianna placed 2nd and Brooked won 3rd.
In Mathematics, Lazaro placed 2nd, Eliana and Alex tied for 4th place, and Nathan placed 15th. They won 2nd place team!
In News Writing, Kelcy placed 3rd.
In Number Sense, Lazaro placed 5th, Alex won 7th, Leah placed 10th, and Nathan placed 13th. They won 2nd place team!
In Persuasive Speaking, Eduardo won 1st place.
In Poetry Interpretation, Hailyn won 3rd place and Eliana won 5th place.
In Ready Writing, Addison placed 3rd and Cadence placed 6th.
In Science, Eliana won 3rd place, Roel placed 5th, and Leah placed 15th. They won 2nd place team!
Roel was the top Chemistry scorer and placed 5th in the Physics subevent. Eliana placed 3rd in the Biology subevent.
In Soal Studies, Mason won 3rd place and Hailyn won 5th place.
In Spelling, Lazaro won 1st place and Mason placed 7th.
Students who placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd individually or who were part of a 1st place team above automatically qualify for the Regional Meet. Students who placed 4th, 5th, or 6th individually or who were part of a 2nd place team above are alternates for the Regional Meet.
The Regional Meet will be held April 23rd and 24th at La Vernia High School in La Vernia, Texas. We wish these students the best of luck at Regionals!
